On paper, it usually takes five business days for a PTE candidate to receive their result, but in reality, it can be as short as hours to about five days.

Most candidates will receive their results within the time frame mentioned (2 to 48 hours), the rest might take a bit longer.

One of the reasons why a PTE candidate may get his/her result late is that she/he might have created more than one account on the Pearson website (to read more read this post). Another reason is technical issues at the PTE test during of after your test is done.
