PTE Enabling skills

About two years ago, the Pearson stopped printing the scores for Enabling skills on candidates’ score cards. These skills were in order of their appearance: Grammar, Oral fluency, Pronunciation, Spelling, Vocabulary and Written discourse. There was no official announcement as to why this happened. But one can tell that a lot of candidates were not happy with the way the test assessment especially of their pronunciation.

Where did Enabling scores go?

The Enabling skills have been replaced with the following skills profile: Open response speaking and writing, Reproducing spoken and written language, Extended writing, Short writing, Extended speaking, Short speaking, Multiple skills comprehension and Single Skill comprehension. However, the scores for these skills are not presented on the candidates’ score cards for the same reason that the previous ones were deleted. But you can access them from your Pearson account dashboard.
