The Pearson Test of English or (PTE) for short is a computerized test that has gained worldwide acceptance by educational institutions and immigration departments, especially in Australia and New Zealand. The official test has to be done in a Pearson authorized test center. This means that you cannot take the official PTE test from the comfort of your home.

The test consists of four modules of Speaking, Writing, Reading and Listening, respectively.
