At the start of the Pearson Test of English Academic and just before the Speaking section kicks off, candidates are asked to record their voice for 30 seconds. This part is called “Personal Introduction” and it is NOT marked at all.
So, do not worry about false starts, mispronunciation, grammatical structures and so on. Think of it as a voice signature where candidates pronounce their full names the way it should be. So just mention your full name, age, nationality and the reason why you are taking the PTE test. It is a good idea to write down what you want to say and to practice it a few times before you sit the test.
