What is the syllabus of PTE?

At thePTE.com, our syllabus for coaching the PTE follows the PTE test structure. That is, we start teaching the Speaking, Writing, Reading and Listening modules, respectively.

Speaking Module

Speaking starts with Read Aloud test items. There are 6-7 RS in every PTE test. Then, it is followed by Repeat Sentence with 10-12 test items. Describe Image is the third test item with 6-7 questions. Retell Lecture with 3-4 questions follows next. And finally, PTE candidates will have 10-12 Answer Short Questions in their test.

Writing Module

The Writing section starts with Summarize Written Text items of which PTE candidates will have 2-3. The last item of the Writing section is Write Essay. PTE candidates will get 1-2 essay topics in their PTE tests.

Reading Module

The Reading section starts with Reading & Writing; Fill in the Blanks. PTE candidates usually get 20-30 of these questions. Reorder Paragraph is the next test item with 2-3 items followed by 2-3 Multiple Choice, Choose Multiple Answers. Reading; Fill in the Blanks with 20-25 questions is the penultimate item of the Reading module. And finally, the last item is Multiple Choice; Choose Single Answer with 2-3 questions.

Listening Module

Summarize Spoken Text is the first part of the Listening module. PTE candidates will get 2-3 items in their tests. Next item is Multiple Choice, Choose Multiple Answers. There will be 2-3 MCCMA questions. The third item of the Listening module is Fill in the Blanks with 2-3 pages of questions. Highlight Correct Summary is the next item on the Listening module with 2-3 questions. Multiple Choice; Choose Single Answer with 2-3 questions is the fifth item of the Listening section followed by Select Missing Words with 2-3 questions. Highlight Incorrect Words with 2-3 page of questions. And finally, Write from Dictation with 3-4 questions is the last item of the listening module.
