What should I carry for PTE exam?

The most common proof of identity is your passport. You are not allowed to take anything other than your passport into the PTE test-room. Markers and reusable notepads and a bottle of water will be given to you in the test-room. Watch a video on how to use markers and notepads in your PTE test.

All PTE centers around the world admit PTE candidates to their test rooms by checking their passport. Even though all banks and other institutions accept a driving licence as a common means of proof of identity, the PTE VUE does not recognize it as a valid proof of identity.

However, there are circumstances where they might accept other forms of proof of identity, but all of this should be consulted and approved by the PTE VUE via the email before you book a date with them. Once they give you the green light, then you can go ahead and book a date with the form of identity the PTE VUE allowed you to.
