How can I improve my essay for PTE?

Since the PTE test is conducted on a computer, it is better if you follow an essay template in your writing test. This post will enumerate the ways you can improve your essay writing skills.

1. Follow a standardized essay template

A computer doesn’t know and above all doesn’t care if you are using a template in the PTE writing section. Don’t just use a template you find on the internet. Get trained by someone whose essay templates get a good score in the real PTE test. Once you got your standardized writing template, sit down and memorize it in practice.

2. Learn how to type efficiently

Most of us can type, but with different speeds and different amounts of typos. You should practice typing the templates so many times that you will be able to type it in 5 minutes. There are a lot of videos on the YouTube that teach you how to type with both hands and efficiently.

3. Always type in the Notepad

Do not practice typing in Microsoft Word as it automatically corrects your misspellings leaving you with a false impression of a good speller. Always type in the Notepad if you do not have a PTE practice website. I would suggest that you practice on our PTE practice website which is very close to the real exam environment in every aspect. 4. Don’t practice on a laptop keyboard

If you have a laptop computer, get yourself a wired or wireless keyboard to practice typing on. A lot of students complain that the keyboard in their PTE exam was so different from the keyboard they were used to practice typing with at home. So to practice under PTE exam condition, get one of those external keyboards and start practicing. The following photo is an actual keyboard of a PTE test center in Turkey.
